Mario Maston is the Pastor of Vineyard Christian Fellowship
of Greater Portland (VCFGP).
He was born and raised
in Exeter, Devon, England. After attending Exeter
College, Mario completed his undergraduate studies
in Government and Philosophy at the University of
Essex and the Open University. In 1988 he received
his Masters degree in Government and International
Relations from Northeastern University, Boston,
Massachusetts.
Prior to entering full
time ministry, Mario worked in finance as a manager,
and in education as a teacher. He joined the staff
of the Greater Portland Vineyard in April 1995 as
Associate Pastor and assumed the senior pastoral
role in February 2001. He is the director of

Portland a leadership institute sponsored by VCFGP,
a member
of the IAM (International Association of
Missions) Advisory Board, and has served on the
Vineyard eastern region Healthy Church Task Force.
Mario and his wife
Ruth have been married for 27 years and have four
children,
two adult daughters, Jessica and
Heather, and two sons, James and Alexander.They live in Gorham,
Maine.
Ruth Maston
was born and
raised in Maine, and after graduating from Bible
College in Massachusetts
with a major in Christian
Service, she moved to England to be part of a church
plant, where she and Mario met and were later
married. While living in England Ruth worked in an
administrative capacity for British Telecom.
Ruth has served in a
variety of ministries at VCFGP. She led the Women’s
ministry for several years providing fresh vision
and building a core leadership team before handing
on the lead role. She has spoken at worship services
and women’s retreats, led bible studies and small
groups, and developed a curriculum for prayer
ministry.
Today her energies in
ministry are focused primarily on co-leading a small group,
mentoring and
serving on the principal church leadership team
(elders).
In addition, Ruth is
pursuing a degree at the University of Southern
Maine in English and Creative Writing.
Kevin Doepp
is the Assistant Pastor of Vineyard Christian
Fellowship of Greater Portland (VCFGP)
Kevin was born and
raised in Long Island, NY and grew up in a
non-denominational, multi-town church. He committed
his life to Christ at the age of 10 and was baptized
shortly after. Kevin participated in various events
including junior and senior high school youth
groups. Before stepping into his current role
ministry role he served as a facilitator in
Children’s Ministry from 2004 through 2007 and was
the co-director of EKG (ekids global-the name of the
ministry) with his wife in 2007. In August 2007,
Kevin graduated with a two-year degree from the

Portland
Leadership Institute.
In May 1993 Kevin graduated with a B.A. in
Communications from Virginia Wesleyan College in
Virginia Beach, VA. He worked as a sports writer
for the Virginian Pilot newspaper in Norfolk,
Virginia for over three years before moving to Maine
in July 1996. Here in Maine he spent ten years as a
sales professional working in the credit card,
wireless, pharmaceutical, and HVAC business
sectors.
Kevin is a huge
sports fan and is most passionate about baseball.
He is an avid New York Mets fan and participated in
a Fantasy Baseball Camp in 2006. Kevin loves
movies, music, books, and is a huge fan of the
popular television show “24”. He is also an active
member of the community coaching youth sports.
Kevin lives in Gorham with his beautiful wife,
Debra, the director of EKG, and their three amazing
children Zachary, Madelyn, and Lily.
